Which race is best land for noobs?

Alas, that table is incomplete. I guess no one filled out the Tryker line.Trykers actually have 9 tribes also that kill them on sight ... although, not the Cockroaches.

One day they all chased some jugs away and i was able to run in and speak to welcomer and did some missions (like 4) but my fame didnt budge. I once saw a scout running around over by the SC dung resin who asked me toi do soem stuff for his cockoroach friends but only seen him once.

I think that table shows which fame scores are interlocked positively and negatively, but is lacking the Tryker row. Only Slaver tribe fame is locked negatively with Tryker fame (at least that used to be the case). It is not quite the same as which tribes will kill you on sight. I think that in terms of tribes that kill on sight:

Tryker 9
Fyros 9
Zorai 10
Matis 11

Sure! I will chat with them and try to distract them while you get missions. Perhaps a group of Trykerette dancers would help with the distraction?
There aught to be a few scouts, prospectors and such around though.

Ok, I'll try and kidnap one of the Tryker Dancers next time I fight Sergio. BTW, what is the KoS trip with the tribes.....I seem to remember it was -60 or -66

Yeah I have that site as well as the french Legions site still bookmarked from FBT days but that table is not accurate. I used to have 83 fame with the Frahar Hinters for example but that dropped way down after one of the patches....the one that reconfigured the fame window.

The tribal KoS tripping point is -50.00....001. You are safe at -50.0. Of course, the display rounds up and shows both of those numbers as -50. So, if your display is at -50, you may need to do more missions to be safe. Before December 2005 the KoS point was -80, if I recall correctly. The factional fame patch moved it up to -50 and installed a differing set of tribal fame caps based on whether you are Neutral, Kamist or Karavaneer.

I'm not sure whether you can gain Cockroach fame or not. My Cockroach tribal fame is capped at -50, so I can't test it. I once did about a dozen missions for the Night Turners and couldn't get my tribal fame with them to budge.

Had a thought. You're a karavaneer and you're fame is capped at -50. A kamist may not be capped at -50. (For example as a Karavanner I had positive fame with Sap Slaves in GoC, but now as Kamist I have -50 fame).

Or, it may be that you are declared tryker (you are aren't you?). A neutral homin, or someone of a different race declaration may be able to gain fame with them (or any other tribe).

Yes, that is quite right. The Cockroaches are Kamist and Kamist homins (Trykers probably) may have a higher fame cap with them. We had a nice thread on the differing tribal fame caps on the Ballistic Mystix forum but I can't access it now. Note that a few xenophobic tribes like the Chlorogoos, Lagoon Brothers and the Lawless have -50 fame caps with everyone.

Judging by the initial fame defaults on http://ryzom.l9c.org/factions.php, I would guess that only Kamist or Neutral Trykers can get above -50 with the Cockroaches.

Riveit is a Tryker citizen. However, if memory serves, the tribal fame caps are determined by your birth race and your cult (neutral, Kamist, Karavan) but not by your citizenship. Or maybe no one ever investigated that point?

Oh no, it does Riveit. The Ancient Dryads for instance hate everyone not born a Zorai unless they have sworn allegiance to the Zorai Dynasty. So it's race of origin, faction and nationality that all seem to matter for the caps.

If you want, I could help out with those Cockroaches and get to the bottom of it ... and their pouches if needed.

Edit:
Neutral/Tryker: -15 to start out with, 50 is max cap for Cockroaches.
Now you just need a Tryker/Kamist and a Neutral/Neutral one
