I'd really appreaciate someone doing current outpost updates. That'd be really useful, and something i know nothing of.

Anyone who wants to start just start post your finished file on one of those free online file servers and either post the link or send the link to me.

Sorry, I must admit I skipped pages 2 and 3, so not sure if this has been covered

I have a full audio recording suite here in my house, and could mix people's 'chatter', and other people's music etc into podcast style files if needed.

I write music too, so can flavour the talking with background sounds and music etc.

Is an option anyways. I don't do talking on mic, so am not going to offer to do that . But am more than happy to edit and compile people's commentary and music into podcastable files.


I too have never looked into podcasts, so the actual posting with RSS would need to be done by someone else.
But if you're interested and/or need my help with the actual post production part (which I would be very happy to do and have plenty of time atm) just shoot me a PM.

ok sounds good if you want to start doing the mixing Trueheart, then you can send me the file and i'll put up the pod cast and all. I'll try to make some music clips from my largish world music collection to send you to use if you do it. i think its a way cool idea.

Also i'd think playing in on the ryzom-radio http://www.ryzom.com/forum/showthread.php?t=26699 every so often would be cool too. I've done radio before. and it'd be cool to have as both download and streamed...

one request is that we try to keep the file under say 25Mb. (i'm still on dial up and generally large files are not too likable )

Ok i'm just about done with the podcasting rss maker, so who ever wants to start making some podcasts should

some hints "Stereo Bit Rate to 128 Kbps, the Sample Rate to 44.100 kHz," though i've found 64 Kbps is just fine , especially for just talking. As i said i can do mixing if needed and can host the files too.

thats it. you need to know the total bytes (bytes not kb) of your mp3. usually you can find that out by right clicking on the file and choosing to see the file info.

anyone can use it atm. hopefully we can keep it that way. But if spam starts happening i'll have to restrict access.

Brilliant idea! For those that have said they have not listened to a podcast on this type of topic try the VirginWorlds podcast. It deals with everything MMORPG. The quality of the content and audio is very high. The guy's voice is perfect for audio broadcasting.

Take a look at podcast #30 which contains a very good review of SoR on this link:

I'd even be willing to subscribe financially via PayPal maybe if that would help cover the costs. Maybe a sub of $2 a month to cover costs would be fair. Maybe a voluntary subscription.
