I'm sure there was a thread here a while ago about this issue, but I can't find it.
For the last week, when I launch Ryzom the startup window hides in the background. Never used to before. It's only irritating, since I can click on the Ryzom button on the Start bar to bring it to the front, but it is just that - irritating. What's the solution?
Ryzom launch window hidden
Re: Ryzom launch window hidden
Right click on the launch icon (menu or desktop), select 'properties' and in the 'run:' option select 'normal window'.

Re: Ryzom launch window hidden
This was due to the fact that the servers were running a bit slow.
Ryzom game client has to conenct to various web servers when it first is launched. If it does not get a clear connection block it will sit in the background waiting for things to happen. Eventually it will connect and the login window will appear. You can also get this behaviour with some misbehaving firewalls and routers.
One little trick that someone taught me last night is to open a non-Ryzom related site in a web browser.
