Configure Ryzom freezing

Hi all,
I installed Ryzom last night on my home computer, and when it gets to the Configure screen, it sits there maxing my CPU forever without doing anything.

I have an AMD 64 3500+ (2.20 GHz) with 1 GB or RAM on an ECS motherboard. My video card is a.. uhm... well, crud can't remember and I'm at work... but it is only like 6 months old... I'm pretty sure it is an ATI with 256MB though

Are you loading the game config or selecting it from the login menu ?

To me it sounds more like a connection issue at first glance... If your firewall isn't open it will/may act exactly like you described.

Well, I opened the ports and it still freezes up when opening the configuration from both places...

I can actually start the game, which I could not do before though. The game is working fine now, so I'm not too worried about it at this point.
