new player, cant login, error 10

just got client installed, tried to login, get this error: error 10 "no mainland shard available" while trying to join a shard. what is the problem here???
are the servers down or what am i doing wrong or what any help apreaciated

.. and if server is down/lags/stalls, log to klients and read topic, then ask whats going on. (i assume trial get access to it too)

I think your missing the fact that the error message is a bit outdated

The Ruins of Silan all run on the same shards as the mainland (don't forget that the universe chat is shared with the mainland), but if you are on a trial account, you just can't crossover to your capital city. All the patches will be exactly the same for both.
