disconnect problems

Post by gldnbomb »

I have never been able to play this game for longer than 5-10 mins until I get a constant please wait screen, I did wat the above post says and enabled port triggering or watever and it still doesnt work. Also people tell me to look at Lawrences post and to manually put the set of numbers in my router but does not say how to do it.

http://www.portforward.com has instructions for a lot of routers listed. But nothing beats checking the manufacturer's site for your specific equipment. Also check for firmware updates and apply them.

Google is also very good for this kind of thing. Try doing a search for your brand and include terms like 'port forwarding' or 'port triggering'

Port triggering is probably what you want. Or just opening the outgoing ports.

Try taking the linksys out of the equation to see if it is the problem or not. Hook your PC directly to the modem if possible.
