I dont disagree that cat's arent probably the best possible thing. I just feel that there should be SOME benifit to an OP..otherwise whats the point of having it. If it wasnt cats...it'd be something...and there'd be arguments about them.

I do think..however...that hats ARE a good alternative! They would provide a stylish incentive to the fashion forward gamer. If not them...how about ROBOTS!!

Yes you heard me..ROBOTS!! You could build a robo-production facility capable of producing one top of the line brand spankin new DigTron5000 excavation drone per day!! This robot can then be updated with the newest equipment, and software, so that it can dig..so YOU DONT HAVE TO!! These robots would revolutionize the digging community!! Tired of excavating..ME TOO!!

"DigTron5000...go to work!!" We could all cry as we sent our mindless automatons out to dig atys raw while we walked away from our keyboard to check to see if our ferns need watering.

Anyway, my main point is: I'm rambling because I see the cats system as flawed. I want anyone responsible out there to hear my voice too.

Send a Suggestion Ticket. Best way for devs to hear from players, rather than starting a thread that'll be lost on the forums in a few weeks (as someone has mentioned very recently in a different thread that I can't find anymore).

And when sending in suggestions, mention viable alternative rewards to fight over.

The problem's simple. The cats create a positive feedback loop as stated... well, ages ago. There was a strong attempt to counter this by active recruitment but it couldn't compete with the mathematics of it or the nature of the expanded playerbase being brought in coupled with losses of the older playerbase.

The solutions are either...

1. Drastically cut back on the cat production.
2. Introduce alternate methods to getting cats - that are as free to use and trade as OP cats if not _necessarily_ as efficient.
3. Introduce some kind of balancing mechanism into OPs or faction numbers.
4. Some combination of the above.
