The whole point on cho is alot of people dont care about faction, kami fight kami because they disagree rather than kami fighting karavan, well cos their karavan, at least on cho there is some reasoning behind it rather than the devs desiding we should fight

Well but didn't this "nice GvG" situation of kamis fighting each other for OP come to life only because there are no kara (apart from op q50 owning Pegasus) to partake in this? I think that's what they meant by kami-dominated.

Well, I know I've got into trouble for talking on this subject before, so I'll try to tread more softly this time. As far as I can tell, it isn't so much that the Kami dominate as that there is no viable opposition. The Kami guilds on Cho are merely organised (not organised together as a Kami mafia, they are just guilds that are well-organised rather than anarachic) and are of viable size (not massive, but rather just big enough that there is more than one member on at a time) and are thus able to fill the void. If they (Kami guilds) had never come onto the server, then I think it likely that the Karavan would not have even one more outpost. This is in stark contrast to the popular view (That I know I was once a proponent of - sorry guys) that the Kami are crushing the Karavan under the boot.


However, this Kami/Karavan issue was not the reason for my original post - I just wanted to point out that the status of the two English-language servers is definitely not exactly the same (which can only be a good thing for everyone, or there is a lot less reason to have 2 servers!) and that when commenting on politics, it might be sensible to be clear about whose politics one is commenting on.

unlike the perfect karavan on cho who in the last two weeks have taken one outpost off fellow karavan and are intending to do the same thing tomorow, thats the biggest load of crap ever....
The point i was making is on cho we fight over matters we find important, it might be faction or it might be for fun, we dont automatically kill the oposite facion because thats how the devs want us to play, hell look at elementals of atys, half the players from the old server where karavan, and the guild is a great unit we dont see why faction should prevent friendships

At the current state, and from the start. Cho is Guild v Guild. Faction doesn't matter other than TP's and the occasional tagged player skirmishes.

This will change as Cho get new players and grows. Time will change Cho, lets hope we get to see how.
