Microsoft visual c++ library runtime error plz hlp

after i get to the screen where it says to relaunch the error message comes up saying the application has requested to terminate in an unusual way, can someone please help me

An excerpt from the 'Ryzom Launcher Error Codes' sticky says:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library - Runtime Error
- again, make sure that your desktop resolution is at least 1024x768 with 32 bit colour depth
- make sure that your system is virus and spyware free. They can corrupt or interfere with executable files.
- every thing that I can find on this and some experience by players with this error indicates a damaged IE install. Fixing IE or removing some of the extras usually will fix this error. In worst case the OS has to be reinstalled as IE is integrated into WinXP. Check out the Microsoft Knowledgebase article 318378 on how to repair Internet Explorer

Someone who had this error earlier ended up having 80+ infected files on their system. The game launched properly after they cleaned things. So first things first try running a thorough virus/spyware scan of your system.

i ran one and there was only 2 adware programs and i know my desktop resolution is fine, i made sure all my IE files were fine, then reinstalled it, disabled my antivirus program while it was patching and it still comes up, i also reinstalled my game, o and i also selected open GL

Without details on video card and driver version and OS I can't help much further. But this error is usually fairly serious and if you google it you will see that it usually requires SP1/2 redo or OS reinstall if the IE fixes don't work.

You can try sending the log files from the Ryzom folder to support-ee@ryzom.com and we can have a look.

I have gotten this problem from time to time. I'm running a W2K machine so i get the option to uninstall IE6. even after fresh install of IE, as well as cleaning up spyware/viruses etc i, from time to time, get this problem. if you find out a solution pls PM me
