why is the experience so stingy when you are able to pull multiple mats from 1 source? i mean only 100 extra exp is not worth it at all. i would rather forage 3 seperate sources for 1 mat each and get the exp i should.
were they afraid that it would be exploited by having a friend use care plans?
also, i haven't done much foraging since the patch but it seemed like the active source time has been shortened. i used to be able to harvest 3 sources form one prospection but now i only get through two and the other source has allready dissapeared.
could this be an unmentioned part of the nerf or is it simply because i was foraging in zorai instead of tryker?

Re: question relating to the recent mat spec nerf discussions
In beta Nevrax reworked forage exp to be almost entirely dependent on quality instead of quantity.
Which more or less gave the obvious result of the powerleveling foragers we see who can't hardly do squat to help the crafter economy.
If they'd simply reduce exp for quality, and increase for quantity instead they'd wouldn't have to fiddle with destroying useful stanzas and ruining people's characters until they can get around to a skill wipe.
The attempt to balance would however be more difficult to code. It seems to me they just took the easy way out rather than the good way.

Not forgetting at all, most people don't even know about all the changes in to forage in patch 1.
Its not that massive IMO. While on their own their decent changes, it won't really fix the foraging issues and compounded with the last patch will make things worse IMO.
Though you're right, it will be interesting to see what people think when the changes come.

Re: question relating to the recent mat spec nerf discussions
My hope is that Patch 1 will be live soon (as I feel it should have come much sooner) I would assume that Tryker mats (only Q50 in homeland) will now be on the level with the other races. If not.. goodbye! Trykers are hurting enough as it is, if after the first free month this isn't fixed, I don't think I'll be the only person looking for somewhere else to play.
As a far as the skills being reset, I suppose this is more a bother than anything else. There's 30pts of mine sittin' somewhere I didn't plan them to be, but I guess I'll spend a couple hours one of these night planning it all out again.
That's my 2 cents.

Isn't that half the fun?
Re: question relating to the recent mat spec nerf discussions
I noticed that about 1 week and a half ago.
They change MULTITUDE of stuff in patchs without telling the customers and you know why that is right?
Hell they are afraid of customer complaining about it.
Thats why so much angry posts are getting deleted as well.
Some one started a post saying nevrax is giving us what we want.
BULLS@#)$T if you ask me.
If they would put everything in the Patch Update notes they'd see its not at all what customer wants.

Reboon,
You're such and angry person. Just let it all go. One of the reasons we don't list everything in the patch notes is so that we don't promise our players something and not be able to deliver it. That's actually a major consideration in patch notes. We don't want to promise something and not be able to provide it for one reason or another (usually time). I don't think even you would want to be promised something and not have it be delivered, I know I wouldn't.

If you are retired Ryzom player why are you in this forum making posts? I doubt that you have actaully quit playing, I think that you think that by making this statement that your retiring you will scare the devs into doing what you want. But it wont work. If your retiring then they have no reason to support you. And if you really have retired then no one here cares what you have to say. And as a non playing customer you should have your forum rights revoked so we dont have to listen tou you anymore.
