Problem with "Bith of a Magician 3"

This quest is very confusing. Am I supposed to kill Jawings or New-borned Jawings. And how am I supposed to kill them using only my root spell?

The mob descritpion is wrong, just kill the only type of javing thats on the island.

The idea is to root (to hold the mob in place) then nuke, root then nuke, etc but its not necessary to complete the quest, you can kill them how you like.
