I set up my account a while back with Ryzom, but when I set it up, it was on my login on my computer. However, my 3 yo granddaughter has taken an interest in the game and I made her a character on my account, but she has also learned to drag things from my taskbar to my desktop and such, so I decided to make her her own identity on my computer and password protect my stuff. Now, when I try to log onto my Ryzom account on her identity on my computer, I get the following error message: Error: Patch Files Failed - Checking
How can I bypass this so that my granddaughter can play on her character while still keeping my computer secure from files being accidentally deleted by an unsuspecting three year old?
Error trying to login
Re: Error trying to login
Ryzom will not run in a restricted account - as it needs full access to the game folder and registry entry (last user name).
You could try copying the game folder and making that copy full access for her account. And then changing permissions on the registry entry that stores the last logged in user name.
