No even a month old and already free keys?

Come in, pull up a chair, let's discuss all things Ryzom-related.

Well with plenty of costumers they dont feel the need. SWG never offered any ntil mass exodus due to the jedis.

The e-mail gives you permission to let them use your CD. At the end of the two weeks, if they haven't cancelled it will charge them the price of a box.

I vote that we start universally calling Nevrax "Nevvy". :)

Hmm. I was hoping to get one of my online bodies to try it. Unfortunately, none of my local friends play RPGs (except the one who's into fantasy football), and all of my online friends are scattered around the country and in the UK. I guess I could rip, burn, and send, or file share,, but that's a pretty big hassle for me.

This was a request in numerous threads as Evalisa stated.

Is it a ploy ... not really just a chance for you to get someone else hooked or not without forking out 50 bucks.

Sorry, but I think this is laughable. The game is no where near "bring a friend in" ready. This is a way to make it easy for folks to spend $40+ on Ryzom without even having to go to the store and buy it. Then, after you have purchased the game by default (not cancelling before 14 days is up), then they take away 14 days from your free month??? So then the intial 14 days isn't even really free, is it?

This seems more to me like survival (or perpetuation) battle tactics rather than just good marketing used to get more new players in the game and revive old accounts. The latter being why this sort of 'offer' is normally done.

Shouldn't they get the game more correctly working before having folks invite their friends in with this manuever?

Robin, you're missing the point. Nevrax didn't come up with this idea as a marketing ploy. They listened to their customers in the forums who were asking for the free trials. Maybe if they did this whole thing on their own, you could make those claims. But for now, just enjoy the great customer service. If you think the trial is a rip off, don't use it. It's just that simple!
