SADLY I don't have too many great and ZOMG questions, as I love browsing information and have found information.... But I would like to introduce myself, and say hello!

As we all know, being cultured people of MMOs, alot of people are... "OOC" or Out of Character most of the time, and use net speak... I look for the exact opposite. I'm looking for a group, or set of groups, of various people, willing to Roleplay. Do you exist? If so, step forward!
Plenty of role-players about, but
which server are you on? I run
The Blackwater Buccaneers on Cho, if that is any help, though the other three (older) servers have a lot more established RP going on.

Also alot of people ask about emotes. /wave, /moo, /dance, et cetera. But does SoR have a command to make your own emotes? A requirement for roleplay.
No, we can't do that. The premade emotes are...interesting, but often produce bad text (e.g. I use
disillusioned on bob. I see "You disillusioned bob.". I cringe.). You also bow when you "wave", so they do seem to have been a rush-job. You are stuck with "Fred says: *rolls his eyes*" I'm afraid!

What's the level of Tech? I mean... I see the Karavaner's and my heart swells with hope that it will be an epic clash of Modernization and Medieval, battling Mech Opponents and pulling out my Epic-glowbullet-boomstick and such like. Are the Homins bound to their medieval stupidity?
The tech level - well, the only real tech we have is guns: we have pistols, rifles, hand crossbows (bowpistols), crossbows (bowrifles), bazookas (launchers) and machine guns (launchers). I've also put my name down for a Karavan flying saucer licence, but they haven't gotten back to me (and sadly, never will).

What about the Trial is... Trial-y? Unlimited play dashed any belief I had to it being a real trial. What's the difference between Us Cheapos, and you people who pay to play?
You can't leave the Ruins of Silan (the "Island") and some skills are locked out, even if you can get the requisite level (e.g. the whole Ranged combat skill tree). You can easily get skills up to about level 40...maybe to 60 if you like a slow grind (the content on the island is what is limiting you there). You aren't time limited or level limited, but as I said, you can't leave the island to get to the mainland which is where all the joy is.
