City of Heroes and Villains had bloom added earlier this year. I have to say I turned it off because it didn't seem to improve things perceptably (it changed the image, but I didn't think it made it seem more realistic).

I run Ryzom with anti-aliasing with no problems (specifically I use 4xAA on my nVidia 6600GT, which is decent, but isn't quite cutting edge any more). Since Ryzom doesn't have native Anti-aliasing, you have to tell your card to stop letting the application decide whether to use anti-aliasing and force its use for all 3D applications. For the latest nVidia drivers, right-click on your desktop and click "Properties->Settings->Advanced->Performance & quality settings". Select "Anti-Aliasing settings", uncheck "Application controlled" and then drag the slider to choose the Anti-aliasing level you want to enforce. Be aware that this change will force that specific level of anti-aliasing for all your 3-D games, but this shouldn't be a real problem. No doubt ATI have a similar mechanism.

i would say ryzom is quite heavy game. i cant use AA at all, it slows down too much in city areas etc. maybe i could if i turned the graphics down abit but i dont really need AA...instead i use anisotrophic 4x cause that doesnt seem to affect performance and makes the spells look nice sometimes. i have nvidia GF 7600GT. i guess ppl have diff preferences. some say "ooh, 5 fps! it runs so smooth!" otheres might think " oh lord its under 30fps. unplayable!"

i will use bloom when its becomes available
