Video Drivers Not Up To date

Post by manarr »

I just downloaded all of the game but it gives me this message upon trying to enter the gameplay client:

Your video drivers are not up-to-date:

Device: NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 (microsoft corporation)
Current Driver version: 5.6.7.3
Recommanded driver version: 6.1.7.6

Do you want to upgrade your drivers?

Yes No

When I click yes, it sends me to a web page. Problem is I have NO idea what to click on or what to do at ALL.

I need help!

http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp

click on Graphics Driver
in the next box click on Geforce and TNT2
third box select your operating system (prob, Win XP/2000, the first option)

download the driver from one of the servers listed.

install & enjoy

hope this helps

Have you tried hitting "no" and seeing if it works ? The no option bypasses the driver check, the driver info is a reminder that the game shows you may be using an old version of the driver. If you are using old drivers, your results may not be too good, they may be fine. If you don't know how to do something as simple as described by Daylight, I sure hope your firewall and router setup is correct.
