Same here. Can't see anything out there that would come close. Ryzom hooked me the first time I played during beta. I've tried the odd other beta/free trial but none has had that same hook.
For me it's Ryzom or nothing as far as MMOs go at the moment.

Well, If it DID go offline... Then I would simply play Playstation2/Xbox/Xbox360/Game cube Until Vanguard was released then I would try it and if I didn't like it, My MMO life would come to a temp(I really doubt perma)end.
Ryzom was my first MMO and as long as its alive and not off track(as is going into forced PvP and such...) I will always have an account open here, Even when I try VG out my Ryzom account will remain open... Unless Major changes in the way the game works happen... Or it closes.

I gotta try out Second Life at some point. I thought someone told me it was actually free. I wonder what the restrictions are... huh. I think potentially you can model stuff in the game and sell it, and use the money to rent land.

A basic account is free.
You need to buy or trade for the in game currency though, unless you pay for a sub.
It is AWASH with porn and freaks.
