yep. Looks like we are at the fork in the road. The Nevrax approach of "stay the course" has ended. Now I'm curious to see which path we go down. The recycle bin? Content, new features on a more frequent basis? I am rooting for the latter.

Depends who by.

CCP wouldn't be so bad, but I doubt they have the capacity after the White Wolf merger.

Funcom would be good, possibly the best outcome. AO shows they know how to deal with and provide for an RP/Event oriented community, but with Age of Conan coming along they may not want to confuse matters.

Turbine... hit and miss, could be good, could be bad.

Sony? Run for the hills!

Or it could be somebody new, that happens quite often with smaller MMOs.

Hopefully it'll be somebody who respects the game's uniqueness and doesn't fall into the trap of chasing populism at the expense of quality.

LOL, I resubbed just in time!

Well the main thing is that at least the game has been created and is working and we like it.

It's not like we are taking a gamble on a new game being released, for example games by Codemasters like RFO, and Archlord suck so bad, but you need to play them awhile before you realise the grind fest thats there.

Hopefully the new people wont interfere in any major way and continue with Neverax' vision.

Sounds to my non-business-minded ears that things went bad so they scrapped the company and took it up with a new one to clear the debts?

Either way I hope things go well - and if not then make sure you release the server code so someone with the time/money can make a private one

I do have one question though...

Does this mean if you haven't got it sorted in a month we're out in the cold?

There is potential here, just needs money, more money than nevrax has, only reservation is any new changes of direction for the game and new owners being as receptive to players.
