I have constantly been looking for a good online game to play where my money felt like it was worth it. I played FFXI for a while and enjoyed the landscapes and the HUGE world but was quickly turned off by the fact that to level effectivley .. it was necessary to group ... not optional but necessary to get past level 20. I spent most of my time looking for a group instead of actually playing. I also wanted PvP and the new PvP system in FFXI was not impressive.
After that I thought about Lineage 2 but after reading about the boting and the very intensive level grind .. I turned away.
Now I was thinking of joing WoW or Ryzom and my friend told me to give Ryzom a try. Ive been playing the free trial and I must say that I am impressed.
I like the community and the features the game offers. I wonder what it will be like after Trainee Island....
This game seems like it has the potential to rival WoW if it had the large player base. I intend on sticking it out and paying for a subscription. I think within the month I will be looking for a guild so .. pm me if you're recruting.
Anyway If anyone is on the Trainee Island and is looking for friends or a group my in game name is roninrun. I am typically on between 10pm-2am CST during the weekdays and throughout the day on the weekends.

Bigger and better! The lands are vast and exotic.
Get some groups on Silan. Some things you really wouldn't be able to do without grinding really high levels in fight or magic there...like Red Blades 1 and 2, the Chlorogoo leader and the end of Chiang's quest with the Kitin Boss. There are groups forming for those almost all the time unless you are off-off-off-peak hours.
