Dappers?, what are dappers?


One more thing. When I arrived to mainland, my first mission gave me as reward a "cube". I read the window that explained what cubes are but I dont understand how it works or what are "cubes".

How I can open the encyclopaedia window again?. I closed after read it but I can't find where to open it again.

Dappers is the cash variant in ryzom.

The cube is a part of the encyclopedia. (open with the e key, or check your key bind setting in the system menu)

Cubes are resin/amber like things with knowledge contained in them, the mission giver (captain? ) has explained this, can't recall atm at work

As far as I know..

Amber cubes where used in the old lands to hold knowledge of the tribes and families. They where kept by sages and the knowledge they contained was treasured. After the great swarming homins where spread around the world and did not have access to the cubes. To gain knowledge you have to collect amber cubes.

one problem tho, this is a story line in the game world and there have been some nice things done with it but you just can't go dig up one. iirc the rites are a sort of amber cube, you have some prerequisites for a rite, do it and get a cube reward. But it is not called a cube.

Please somebody correct me if I'm wrong. (Off to get some more coffee )

Just to clarify... you do not get a physical cube in your inventory. The cube is basically that part of your encyclopedia.

Two new questions:

a) A friend has chosen Trykers as race (I'm a Fyros). He will appear at Pyr when he leaves the island?. If the answer is NO. How could he come to Pyr to play together?

b) I've seen at Pyr two npcs: Big Trepan Crafter and Tree Bore Crafter. What are them?. I can learn an skill named Fyros Tool Crafting from the first npc. I can't learn nothing from the second one. I can see that this skills is to craft Fyros quality tools. Might I learn this skill? (As you know I want to be a weapon crafter).

Its to craft special tools to make things from Outpost materials. Outpost materials are attained from outposts, which large guilds posses, so its very unlikely, especially at a low level, to be crafting any outpost items, so its best to leave those two NPCs alone for now

One of you will need to get treked to meet in the game..... i saw a thread about it yesterday of someone offering free treks..... look around in forums and game.... if melinoe isnt busy we may trek you... im dollydagger send a tell if you cant hook up with a trek party

I use to play in two diferent computers (job and home). I wish to copy my bookmarks file from one to the other. Do you know this file name?. Maybe one of the files in the "save" folder?.
