I would prefer the whole, "if you hit, you get title thing." Sitting around and hour and a half waiting for loot earlier today, er yesterday (as it's after 12) was just stupid. I spent forever waiting for barely anything (yea, i know loot was shared evenly). Then, only two people in my team even got a title. Out of nine, how do you pick who gets it? Everyone worked very hard to make sure everyone was alive/the boss was being killed. No offense meant, but it could have been thought out just a bit more.

I agree it's not fair 50 should contribute and only 10 get rewarded, especially with titles like that. I think this is untill now the only title that has smthg to do with the race/civilization. It's no wonder every player wants it.

PS : is the event over then ? :(

I helped to kill somewhere around 20 bosses total. :)

Actually, I quite liked the interaction between the huge groups of players. :D
Been quite a while since something like that has happened, and it will probly be the last time for a while.

I have been through 10+ (I lose count honestly, it all blurs together) runs this weekend (doing all 4 bosses on each run except friday night, where I fell asleep before the matis one), since early friday til one that finished just now.

I LOVE what dividing the mats did to the community through necessity. Seeing traditional enemies and friends sitting side by side and dealing politely.

BUT yes I totally agree it is unfair on some. I helped divide the mats on a number of occasions, and MOSTLY every guild present got their first choice. But not always, and 2nd+ choices were anyones guess.

What _really_ hurt it was the little... person who ninja'd the first hit on the Tryker boss, given Tryker then proceeded to be the most "in demand" for the entire weekend, with a number of tryker guilds really suffering as a result. I hope the person responsible splits the mats amongst the tryker guilds for fair distribution (even if this means my guild who had 4 people present on that hunt) gets nothing.

I'm not agaist loot based tittles, seem to be nice for those who care about titles. I have personally no need to any tittles. I have only used homin and healer tittle, because they describe what I'm and my role in big hunting teams. What I'm saying that title as reward is not reward at all for me. I would not lift little finger for titles.

Personally I think giving titles like they did in this event is a stupid idea. In my view a title should be something that has meaning to it. Is one really a Kitin Hunter because they killed a few kitin in a large group? What's so special about having a title above your head that EVERYONE has? It's the exact reason why I won't be wearing the title I earned in this event.

I'll be sticking with my Wayfarer title. As the game gets older it really is something to be proud of. Less and less people have it and it's becoming something truly unique. :)

Hey, we saved the world! It's worth something isn't it?
Title is a great reward. Remember the old plans with offspring and your children would earn the parents' reputation? It wont happen of course.

On the german server we have a very nice and fair system to distribute the titles...
The date of the next "run" is broadly known in our community, so a "multiguild" army meets at the location of the first boss. All participating guilds and quildless players are noted, and if a guild joins the party later, it is also noted by one of our organizers. (Which are usually reputable guild leaders.) The army kills all 4 exterminators and thus gets 40 titles for distribution - enough for all!
After the run all participating guilds meet in Pyr. If there are 18 participating guilds and 5 guildless players, one title goes to each of them. The remaining titles are distributed between the guilds who participated in all four bosses and who came up with more than two or three members. If there aren't enough titles we simply play dice.

This system works pretty well, there's no quarrel, even small guilds get all their titles if they participate often and we even have many many guildless players or one-person-guilds with the Atys Guardian over their heads.

You system is pretty similar to the one used on Arispotle. The problem I see with your system is the same I see with the Arispotle system: Small guilds and single persons are prefered with this system.
No that I don't like that I easily got all four title pieces for the Atys Guardian but I still feel a bit selfish, that some guilds had problems to provide one title to every person involved in the hunts.
Maybe the difference between your and our hunts is, that most hunts had more than 50 people participating, so we always were short on title pieces.

I helped on 8 hunts I think, and got 6 title pieces in total. Two I gave to a friend though.
