[cho]

Souls you took too many Kitins out. I walked to oflovaks from Pyr and came across two lone kitins and one spawn of three kitins on route. The highest drop being two pieces!

I am on the second title with 17 pieces, even if I hunted for the rest of the week straight there aren't enough Kitin for me to stand a chance of getting all the titles.

Can you get them to populate an area that is away from the cities so that those that actually appreciate this event and want to partake in it, have something to hunt!

Purhaps the area North East of pyr where no one goes...

This does not seem to happen, at least for the moment. I don't know if it is a visual glitch for bosses having a huge pool of HP, a "controlling hand" from our beloved CSRs (soory Souls, can't help considering conspiracy theories constantly) I don't know. We will see with the exterminators.
me wrote: - [Minor] nitpicking.... but the event almost reached the point of becoming "too" repetitive. Wave after wave, plus the commander. it was a imho well chosen number of waves, but the players started to drop the scenario before the event was over.
The fact that we advance throughtout Atys makes it way less repetitive, and we need to port and actually look for them, is nice and entertaining. Of course, cleaning up the areas does seem like an accomplishment, but it can also be frustrating to realize the scarcity of some when we are on a grind/slaughter roll....
me wrote: - [Wish] Also, as the pink rez gadget (Sxar) mentioned, the ranks could use some variation, and also in terms of relative difficulty. Basically there were 2 types (for a specific kitin species): the "private", a 3-5* purple and the "commander" (bossy). What about having more variation? from low hp ones to the point that one can bomb them and one-shoot a bunch of them, progressively towards the "Supreme Commander", with 5 or 6 degrees of difficulty (maybe it is already like this, but it seems the bi-nature minion/boss).
Relative difficulty depending on the region. Similar rewards but also depending on the relative difficulty. Enough variation, in general. Also, different kinds of kitin, with different resistances, etc. Well, a nice improvement
me wrote: - [Wish] the next step would be very nice. The "mass invasions" are cool, one of the selling points of the game and can be repeated periodically... to some extent. Whereas balancing the difficulty is tricky without knowing in advance the number of players willing to assist, two details:

* first, one cannot avoid having the impression that it is a bit of a "zerg" effort -- if only similar events were held without targetting a server-wide, sunday-eve population -- except when there are multiple "bosses" it is hard to define "tasks" to be performed by different groups of players (e.g. one controls the hill, the other the base, the third protects the civilians, etc). The "let's Zerg the boss" is too present.
It is now possible to go in teams, 3-9 players and to work on the invasion with a lesser "zerg" effect, which can still be there for the Exterminators. Way less "Zerg" effect, and more guild/team mission-likes. Very positive.
me wrote: * second, the sandbox nature of the ring scenario, while fun, is limiting, no long term effects, (no rewards too, but personally reward is not as important as e.g. not having NPC merchants if we loose). Several players decided to drop the scenario before it was over, regardless of how many bosses left... they had their invasion-shot fix and over.
Week lasting invasion, affecting Atys and day-to-day (well yes, I can't dig and craft safely either and probably some mats will time out at the vendor, but this is PRECISELY what we have been asking for loooong). I would rather have the invasions in Atys thatn in a Ring where the effects are somehow minimized.
me wrote: All in all, smallish details in the review of a positive event.
And yet, Nevrax has basically improved most if not all the points that we raised from the last Ring-based invasion. My Kudos to the CSRs/ devs team. I am enjoying the event, although I am aware of the shortcomings. The bar gets higher and higher, and it does look promising for the Kitin nest :D

Points to improve:
* It is hard to give some slack to newcomers, yet allow them to actively participate so they wish. Although I am enjoying it myself and we ask for this, putting our day to day IG lives at risk, unable to dig/trade, etc., when one reads about a few newcomers complaining about the invasion it is hard to arrogantly answer ("Atys is alive", "things change", "get over it", "wait or do something else") so I do think there should be room for everyone, but the point is how?.

Wishes:
- Notify in advance if (when) the event is over. It could be very frustrating not to get the title with x pieces in the bag if one logged right after the event was closed.

- While some (including myself) players may have not a lot of trouble gathering the 5k pieces to get the titles (if so they/we wish, we can thankfully play a siginificant amount of hours, although it's tight...) it *does* feel like a grind, and if the event lasts a week, it may affect casual players. What about providing alternatives to get the rewards? -- just thinking out loud here -- With no-time-limited events, casual players can get their own goals at their own pace. If a player can just play the weekends, and the event is over, it is unfotunate that he is not entitled to get what other players can get.

Anyone else find the last title (Kitin Mass Murderer) a bit out of place?
If we killed a lot of homins I would agree with being a mass murderer, but hey... these are not homins we are killing!
I'm not going to try to get that title because I simply don't like it. Now if it was something like Exterminator :D I sure would have tried

I also think the event is too long at a week. After one night and seeing I could get nothing but titles I lost interest. It also may be because I remember some of the other invasion events and how much better they were.

I enjoy the event. It is a lot of fun, but I'm not sure that I will get that last title.
4000 Kitinparts seems so far away....

Maybe if the event lasts longer ..... but no, I think one week is enough. If I compare it to episode two, which last a lot longer, and then noone knew, what the rewards would be.

I don't like that last title either. It jsut sounds kinda lame, so I've stopped at the Eradicator title. Just collecing bits for guildmates now.

Exterminator would have been much kooler.

I agree- I stoped at Master Kitin Hunter because in my opinion its slightly cooler than Kitin Eradicator for the amouont of effort required.

IMHO the first title is a very poor French to English translation- It makes more sense for it to be "Debutant Hunter of Kitin" (newbie [coming out] hunter of kitin is a more common translation) rather than "Hunter of Debutant Kitin" (Hunter of newbie[coming out] kitin).

acridiel wrote: Edit: Ah, and not to sound arrogant, but do you realy think that Nevrax would change their 2 year old lore and background just to keep you here? We oldies have been demanding a new Invasion for Month now and are happy to see one again and we have participated in some before, at the same levels as you are now. We took the challenge. Can you? ;) :)
(Yawhn) First, I've never said that I'll go from the game. Another guy said it, not me. I don't use to say in the forums: "Hey!, I'm gonna go! Really you don't wanna do something???". It's stupid.

Second: I've said a request to make the starter main zones and roads a little bit free of "Instant death", not to quit the invasion or to low-level the kittins to can get the title. You know, I can't kill kittins, so I don't wanna cry about be out from the kittin feast. I only want that the kittins don't kill me three times while I'm trying to get some bodoc fur to make an armour.

PS: I don't wanna be arrognat neither, but, you really think that Ryzon can be maintained only with veterans? The new players are pretty necessary for Nevrax (economically) and for the game (New blood). So, if the newbie community make a request, is razonably that the devs give two thinks to it.

Excellent event, I am sooo sorry for missing most of it because of RL issues.

Finally there's some excitement and risk back in the game. The best thing are the 4 exterminator bosses, wow, something that requires a few teams working together. To be honest I was sick of the "uber" purple bosses which could be killed by a team on 4-5 people.

BTW, the pumpkins are fun as well... they look a bit like Jena (or Ma'duk if you are kara), don't you think? :D
