Hah you think this patch was a joke?
The previous patch has seen me crash consistently since I applied it. I am not joking when I say my longest ever play session has not been more than 1 hour and 20 mins and that was an exception! The normal crash rate was 10-20 mins into a game. Prior to that patch I played OB1 and OB2 without an issue. Come retail the bugs appear and patience begins to diminish as i weigh fun versus cost.
I love nothing better than trying to fix IT problems during the day at work than to come home to Ryzom and realise im not really playing it but rather performing cyclic crashes! /sarcasm off
My computer is relatively new (3 Ghz), very good specs. bang up to date with all drivers etc, plays all other brand new graphics heavy games fine. Ryzom? thats a different story.

Well i cannot say i like the material spec nerf, but it is quite fair, for i started harvesting 3 days ago and i am currently 79 desert harvest ( approx 25 hours of play). Leveling is just too fast after 60 with 3k pulls. Took me much longer to get to that level in magic and melee.
So , the game is barely 1 month old and we have lvl 200 foragers that can get the best mats from PR(and digging around there is not that hard so stop whining about that too) and its only a matter of time till crafters get to lvl 200
and melee and magic follow... There u have it, people maxing out their main skill and having best equip game has to offer. U say there is a plethora of other skills? Great challenge those when u are wearing Elemental ql250 armor and waving around an elemental sword.
But this is just my opinion .

I am not crafting something when im not a crafter, a harvester maybe not not a crafter and i am not getting 5 levls or something to buy a craft pack either (they can give me one for their *issue*) just to solve a bugart3an wrote:Had the exact same thing, and guess what: the gms did actually sort it out! hmmm not had a problem so far at all with crashing.
It could be something so simple that is staring you in the face that is causing the crashes. When did you last defrag? What size is your graphics aperture etc etc. No one can help you sort your crashes unless you post specifics, saying that you have a top notch pc doesn't cut it sadly. As you say you are into IT then you will know this already and have probably tried it but if you haven't, it is something to look at.

hold on a sec mate, It says quite simply that the matierial specialisation "raises Quality level and lowers agression of speed and rate".
Now if it said, "You harvest more mats and it lowers the aggression of speed and rate" I'd not have gotten it. Mat quantity isnt as important at lvl 50 as XP is. Its only once you pass the avg level of crafters that the quantity is more important. ie more money foir me.
They have changed the skill, WITHOUT ANY WARNING WHATSOEVER.
No forth coming patchnotes, nothing. And the skill still actually says the original text. They couldnt even be bothered to change the text. I mean how LAZY can you get.
I actually agree to a degree with the overall effect it has, but the fact that it was added without any warning, overwritting the original skill in a way you'd never have expected and it now means i have 110sp in totally useless skills. I dont think this is acceptable. The right to change the game code only goes so far. This is taking the mick.
If these changes are to be put into effect they MUST be done with forewarning. The attitude that Neverax is always right is bull. Just because they made the game dont give them the right to mess everyone around.
That is.. IF they want to stay in business.
We should get an apology for the stealth nerfs, only a complete moron does stealth nerfs anyway. Its not like they wont be noticed. So there might as well be a written out document detailing all the fixes and changes, in fact this points to the sheer lazyness of neverax. That there is no document listing all the patch details. Its pathetically unproffessional. Disgustingly so.
More and more, this game is reminding me of horizons and the attitude of the devs there.
Even if Eq2 or WoW is abit boring, even if its abit too kiddy.. Theres one things for sure. They tell you what they intend to change weeks in advance.
They give usually 15 minutes sometimes longer notice when the server is going offline.

I apologize, i meant lvl 60, getting to 60 from 50 is hellishly boring, and when u get there u can only get ql 100 (99) instead of the previous 148 with spec extract.denature wrote:How are you managing 3K pulls above level 50 harvest? Rugster, you are right about the neccessity of putting the important changes in the notes instead of " Mobs are more likely to go around trees".
They did not even post it on the announcment boards... would have been late, but its better than never.

i worked that out btw, the 99/Q100 is because you are in an area which gives Q150 or higher mats. With mat spec, you actually can get Q150 in a Q150 area. Or could...cant now, you dont even get more then 2 mats now using the spec, since the source life ends so swiftly.

I agree with you. No matter what Nevrax does (and personally I think some more nerfs will be coming up) - stealth nerfs are the worst policy they can have.
