Well, this is great - I find the funnest game in the world, but my friend wont play it because 9/10th of the time the mouse and keyboard dont work...alt tabbing doesn't work - he has push the power button, restart, and then re logg in (after that please relog message goes away) and then it happens again
I want to play this game for a long time and give your company lots of money but it aint gonna happen... he picked up the WoW trial today, are you happy?
I've been reading through these forums and I dont see anything useful, accept deleting a 25 mb patch redownloading it and crossing your fingers everytime
You guys have seriously got to fix this soon or your gonna have a major community shortage issue on your hands - word has it that this wasnt a problem before some september patch???
My version of Ryzom runs like a dream, I think its fantastic - so why would a cursor and mouse just stop working on his?
How can something be so fantastic for me, and crappy for him, he just reinstalled Windows and got the SP2 and etc - please dont try to feed be drivle and say its a solution
Ive spoken to several CSR's/GM's and they all ask the same silly question, updated video drivers, mouse drivers, keyboard drivers, OF COURSE!!
Y0ur code is messed up -- fix it, or teach me to fix it!!!
Does anyone have a sure fire solution to this??

Mouse / Keyboard Issues
Re: Mouse / Keyboard Issues
i think around that patch when they messed.. oops, imrpoved hardware cursor experience (from pretty white cursor to ingame like cursor).ryand wrote:I've been reading through these forums and I dont see anything useful, accept deleting a 25 mb patch redownloading it and crossing your fingers everytime
because i dont have that problem, i cant say how to fix it.
i myself run Ryzom in hardware cursor mode. to switch hardware cursor mode, you need to be ingame (configure/input/mouse hardware checkbox is there), but that probably does not work. worth a try tho

ps, dont forget to relog (exit game) after that. maybe there is something that gets skiped on logon when mouse is in hardware cursor mode.
Re: Mouse / Keyboard Issues
I used to have issues with my mouse, it was a logitech one and the drivers where absolute crap. Removing the drivers did not work. I use a generic driver now and it works.ryand wrote: Save my friend from a drone experience on WoW
Your friend could try and use another mouse and see if that is the problem (while removing the drivers from the old mouse) a simple 2 button generic one should be 5 or something. Test with that and see if ti helps.
Posting the HW specs for the PC and the specific type of mouse would be verry handy to help solve your friends problem. We are not mind readers
