Adjusting the scale of the UI

Post by mvk3533 »

I've only been playing Ryzom for a day now but I'm really loving it so far and am planning to start a subscription. I've been playing with the UI and making adjustments but the one thing I've noticed is a lack of an ability to scale the UI. I'd really love to downsize the casting bar and unitframes to about 50% their current size (I've already downed the opacity).

Is there a setting or MoD that will allow me to scale the UI?

Also, is there a way to increase the distance the camera will zoom out?

Thanks!

Not sure if the UI is scalable, news to me if it is.

You CAN make the zoom greater but it involves editing the config file which is against the CoC.

Welcome to Ryzom :)

at the 'lower' resolutions I had the same dislike (800*600 / 1024*768),
The UI becomes less noticable if you can increase the resolution you play at. There is also the option to display the action bar as buttons(this removes a load of screen block)...or even go into the system options and turn off the items you don't want to see all the time. I have player titles 'off' by default...and label as little as possible, my original display options looked like a 'post it note convention' behind my TV channel change screen :D
