-An invasion with level ranges based on region (so all can be involved regardless of level).
- mob groups of 3 and 6, a challange rather than a rampage.
- Titles to allow the memory of the event to last past the week.
- NO CLICK-FEST to get the rewards.
- Exchangable loot so teams can work as a team.
- slow/no respawns so you can 'make progress' and clear areas.
It's less complicated (untill now) then the previous invasion but a lot less frustrating! Yay for nevrax :D

Oh lookie a thingy, that would go very well with this thingy I have here and the other thingy I found at the uhm thingy near uhm well, that's not important right now. This might make a excellent thingy to hit thingies with :D

rezak wrote:So what is the reward actually? Im in Pyr and thery are way too thought to handle with my fight 49 skill. (I barely scratch them) and I doubt a team of same levelled players will fare any better. So I would like to know what the reward is before I try to kill another 37 (plus however many the reast of the team needs)
Some have a major resists, try to use different melee types (blunt/slash/pierce) or magic. (cold/acid/rot, afflictions) Find out what hits them hardest and use it.

Standing before a healer and taking a few hits before it attacks the healer can save your team, being bait for the adds helps to while the team takes on 2 instead of 3. healing the healer who heals more then you to keep him/her active a little longer can save your team. Scout ahead for groups of enemies to target next.

There are more way's to be useful then pure dmg or being to rez somebody instantly.

I kill kitin because they are a threat to the homin nations. To do my bit as a homin in defending our cities and peoples. If that gives me a reward then that is a plus.

Loving it so far, although I agree with some posters who say it would be nice to have a little more "plot development" and rewards other than the (rather nifty) new titles, but we have a whole week - who knows what we have in store? Thanks Nevrax :)

PS: I stilll think we could've done without the pumpkins tho
3:1, 2:1, 1:1 ... probability factor of one to one; we have normality. I repeat: we have normality. Anything you still can't handle is therefore your own problem.

i agree that Hunter of Debutant Kitins (or smthg like that) makes you look like a kid who's just killed his first prey :D but Kitin Hunter isn't so bad :)

dunno what the other titles are like though

Titles as rewards is a great idea! I already look forward to telling my grand-grandson about the days when I became a Kitin Hunter.

This may have been said by others (5 pages of replies and no time to read them all) But, having done only a few MMO's myself its great to see the DEVs trying to give us all a bit more to enjoy besides everything else we want to do. All too many MMO's just leave you out there and their Devs could give a fig for adding something temporary for you to enjoy. I tip my hat to NEVRAX for caring enough about its playerbase to give us a bit of diversion for a week.
If it messes up some plans, thats rough and hard on folks I agree with that but. if you care about the entire community then you know this break is something special. It helps get the guildmembers together for something different.
Just my own two cents.......

I haven't seen a kitin invasion still being on the starter island, but I hope to see some when I eventually make my way to the mainland, which will probably still be a while away. I imagine it to be similiar to the big bug swarms in Starship Troopers...
