Certainly, there are many questions yet to be answered. What is the origin of hominkind ? No proof of homin evolution on Atys has yet been found. Is Jena really the almighty creator of Atys that the Karavan claim her to be ? Does Jena really exist ? Doubt is growing in homin hearts. And who are the Karavan really ? Why do they keep themselves locked up in their strange suits ? Why do they hate the Kamis so much ? What is behind the bond between the Kamis and Atys ? What is Atys ?

Behind these mysteries the key to the destiny of Atys resides, and the fate of hominkind lies. While rebuilding their civilizations, homins will soon have to look deeper into these questions to grasp the true Nature of Atys. For time is already running short. The destiny of Atys is about to change hands. Someone, or something already has their sights on the Green Planet, looking for the Ryzom.

Not based on facts or quotes, just my opinion...

Atys - the plant planet, was terraformed by 'Elias & Jena' two scientists.

The RYZOM is the root or seed that was used in the process.

The DRAGON is the spaceship/rocket that carried the RYZOM into the heart of the dead ATYS.

The KAMI a 'freak happening' a result of the experiment creating sentient beings.

The HOMIN slaves, genectically made to inhabit/work/exploit ATYS resources.

The KARAVAN are observers and collectors of resources.

The KITIN parasites/insects on the DRAGON which got metamorphosed during the teraforming process.

The GOO is the experiment breaking down due to unstablity.

pretty much agree with Neun, except I beleive Ma-Duk was the Artificial intelligence used by the project.
At the level of technology where they create biological planets, god-like AIs and magical abilities are pretty much par for the course.
The Kami are the 'hands' or robots of Ma-Duk, and the Goo is a super virus

and of course, somewhere, somehow, something went wrong....

and we so must fight to save Atys from the soul consuming entity also known as ..

Perhaps Elias "went native", had himself modified to live on Atys and mingle with the people there.. he certainly knows too much for a regular homin.
