make a copy of your 'save' folder in the ryzom directory, can be a lifesaver for saving map markers after a bad crash

Yeah, I just thaought my markers are all gone, but then I realized that the map is empty on my notebook, where I installed SoR during downtime, and they are still present on my other client.

main reason why this downtime was so long:

nevrax generally doesn't work on the weekend due to some french law things. on the weekend all you get is the jolt support team and their power is limited, thus they can't fix any serious bugs that crop up.

usually these things, IF they happen, which is rare, happen in the week and are fixed very fast.

Hmm actually that's not strictly true. We were working closely with Nevrax in Paris this weekend. It's more a case of bad timing on this issue.

You can never win SS... had you put it up before it was ready, reactions would have been worse. Downtime on weekend hurts everyone, the gamers missing their fix and the support working when they could be home with their families and/or their beer.
