I've asked this question in the game while playing the free trial, but nobody has an answer. Are there potions, food, or any other consumables that when used will heal hp or sap points in Ryzom?
Thanks,
PKGhost
Are there potions or food?
Re: Are there potions or food?
As a general rule..
no
you can learn Self Heal skills which will replace amounts of HP or sap or whatever, which are on a timer.
Sometimes, on special occasions (Christmas, Easter, etc ) you might find "eggs" around the place, which are consumables in the classic sense, and can replace your Hp/whatever, or grant you invulnerability, or a speed boost... but these are not part of normal gameplay.

Teaming for xp is promoted in this game moreso than others. There are ways to lvl solo (besides forage and craft) but they will be slow not worth the effort IMO.iwojimmy wrote: Learn to live without them![]()

Re: Are there potions or food?
The closest thing to potions is sap crystals. You can enchant an item with a spell, after crystallizing it, and then you have to keep it charged up with sap crystals. There is no way to carry a bunch of self-heal potions.
Food is not needed for the player, but it is needed for his animals. Mounts and packers require feeding, and you have to pack food for them.

Re: Are there potions or food?
Actually there is another consumable ... flowers. There are different types that boost your stats (con, int, str, and dex) for an hour. These are produced only at outposts currently.
If you die you lose the effect and you still have to wait the rest of the hour before you can consume another.
edit: but they do not heal. onlyl increase your maximum for that time period.

Re: Are there potions or food?
If you are trying to eliminate downtime, here is a suggestion.
Melee until your Stamina is low, Switch to Magic until your HP and Sap are low, then Harvest until you regain Stamina, Sap and HP.

Sorry for this, a little OT for my 1st post. But PKGhost, did you used to haunt the world known as Sosaria? Back when that certain game used to be good.

There were consumables, in the form of eggs, that healed stats or gave speed or invulnerability boosts, but they only appeared as special items on holidays (easter and christmas of one year) and were never fully implemented. Perhaps some day these items will reappear as mission rewards or in some other fashion, where they are regularly obtainable and even tradeable.
