I've heard so many good things about SoR and I've finally decided it's time to leave the "regular" MMOs and make the leap to something that seems genuinely special. I'm downloading the trial (very quickly I might add - thank you fileplanet) right now.
From what I gather reading through the forums, Cho is a relatively recently opened server and Arispotle is the original or at least older one. I'm looking for some advice as to which server a truly new player should head to. Does it really matter?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: Anticipating Ryzom!
They're meant to be identical, the only real difference is that most of the players are alot younger/lower level on Cho.
Arispotle will have alot more people at the moment.

Re: Anticipating Ryzom!
Thanks for the response. Further searching and investigation of threads revealed all the information I need.
I think I'd rather be part of blazing the trail on a new server, but I'm a little worried about the population. Are enough people playing Cho for you to find the materials you need for crafting without always going out and getting them yourselves? I'm really interested in learning crafting.

Re: Anticipating Ryzom!
It is somewhat empty compared to the other servers, so you will probably end up having to find things for yourself... unless you happen to find a nice harvester who will take orders for things. If you need any q40 jungle mats in Zora give Chennai a call

Welcome to Atys. I hope you enjoy the game and the world around you, for it truly is a wonderful place. If you stay a while you will find that even if you do leave it, it will never leave you.
