To summarize:
If you don't like it, log a suggestion.
If the suggestion is ignored, propose a compromise.
If it's still ignored, decide whether to live with it or leave.
What Ryzom is meant to be is what the developers make it. They've been pretty open about the fact that the game is going to change and evolve over time. It's one of the few games with a long-term vision and only the devs/authors know if changes to the game will impact that vision.
I've been pissed off about a lot of things that changed in Ryzom and most of my guild left over the original Kitin invasion and PvP. However, once you've voiced your concern, let it go. 99% of the people arguing over these kinds of issues aren't in any sort of position to change them. It's like the ants in your garden arguing about what type of grass you should be planting.
If something really screws up game play, the Devs seem to pretty good at fixing it. If it's an inconvenience to your own personal style....well...suck it up. I don't like getting sniped in the roots or being the main course at a Kitin buffet any more than you do. But, it's a tough planet and we'll either adapt or die. Seems pretty real-world to me. (and isn't that what we signed up for?)
'nuff said.
