Ive seen other games where the community needs a place to meet and interact, share stories and whatnot.

These forums are all well and good, but hey, maybe this will help bring more roleplayers to the game and bring those already ingame closer together.

I think we'd be better off using the existing forums.

I find the existing forms to be slightly limited, I was just hoping to create a place that was solely for RPers who play Saga of Ryzom

Anyways, bringing everyone together could only help the community as a whole, especially on Cho. I myself just recently started playing the game and coalescing a RP community on the server at its onset is essential to creating a good RP atmosphere there. If we all come together we will all benefit!

Besides, what do you have to lose by registering on the RRU boards and marking them as a favorite to check now and then when youre online?

Nothing, but I generally find that drawing off from the main boards creates seperated micro communities. I'd rather see people making use of the boards we have, which aren't really that limited (what extra did you have in mind?)

It's a good idea, but it's a simple fact you'll have much less participation on outside boards then here on the main one.

*sniggle* So you caught my post pre-edit. My initial reaction to ezboard and proboards is one of repulsion on a divine level.

If I was to redesign it using something non-EZboardish would it be more appealing? Im just trying to do something to pull the RP community together, im honestly open to any and all suggestions you may have...

So far ive seen no constructive criticism... just criticism

Its really easy to point at something and go "That sucks, it'll never work" its alot harder to actually take the initiative and try to improve the situation or help someone else who is taking the time to make said effort.

In fact, ive already had alot of people telling me that this will never work because the RP community is too small and too jaded and dosent care about coalescing etc etc etc... I say nuts to it, im still gonna try !

So please, if you have any constructive suggestions, give them to me! Im ready to do some legwork to improve things RP-wise, especially on Cho (im biased because this is the server i chose and im not switching now )

Ryzom has the best RP community of any MMORPG out there at present. FACT.
However, trying to draw people away from the main board won't accomplish much.
You're better off putting effort into the boards here, where you'll see more people and more people will be able to see you.

That IS constructive criticism.

I'll agree with the jaded part though, we've gone from unparalleled RP to merely fantastic
