New player grouping question.
New player grouping question.
Ok, i'm a new player, and a lowbie. like 15 in fight. Now, I noticed someone coming by yesterday slapping down all the creatures in the area with a single hit. I made a nice, and pleasant complaint, and he invited me to group. So to be reasonable I did, yet didnt get not exp, by the time I was able to get near anything he was near, he killed it? Was I doing something wrong, or should I just wait till I get a ranged weapon where I can tag stuff before it dies?

It sounds like he was too high lvl to make a good teammate.vertigo0 wrote:Ok, i'm a new player, and a lowbie. like 15 in fight. Silan is bit of a mixed bag. There are some missions that are team based, killing bandits, kirosta. etc. But in general, the mobs wandering around are really made to be soloed. They have very few HP and it will be hard for everyone in a team to get XP.
Things change a lot when you get to the mainland, fights get longer and really requires everyone in team to do their job, which will mean you'll get XP.

Re: New player grouping question.
indeed.
the way to team on the island if someone can kill things in one hit is let other team members who cant land a hit first (or get the uber one to tone down actions so they dont kill instantly). That's the type of co-operation you can expect as standard on the mainland, but maybe isnt something thats immediately obvious so doesnt happen so much with newer players.
