There seems to be some confusion over what Ryzom was meant to be...

Come in, pull up a chair, let's discuss all things Ryzom-related.

The OP made interesting reading (thankyou for clarifying the original direction of the Saga of Ryzom). I see Grimjim's response of his PvP concerns ( I have yet to see him comment without explanation).
And again this is followed by several posts that add noting more than "heard it before etc etc etc....."

I can now state my view on PvP (at this point in time), I am not a PvP player..never have been. Though I have no problem with voluntary PvP being included in Ryzom (as it is now).
I sat back and watched (assisted by my silence) SWG deteriorate into the mess it is today.....I do not always ageree with the views of Grimjim, but I see that he is fighting to keep Ryzom the type of game that attracted me, and other roleplayers, to it. In that respect People such as Grimjim has my full support.
Nevrax is juggling with casual gamers, roleplayers, social players, PvP players, heck...we even have Atys historians and archeologists now :D .
Ryzom appeals to all at the moment.
Maybe we should all start shouting. Because experience has shown me silence is the quickest way to lose what I value.

What was lucas thinking...

Anyway this seems to have spanned 3 threads now so lets put it to bed for another 5 days. Give our rsi a break. Just play the game as it is, and make sure youre enjoying it, otherwise you're wasting your time.

For proof all you need to do is look at the game today.
And any developer will understand that the original 'world' they produce will be shaped and directed by the people who 'inhabit' it when it enters the public domain.

Though in this case the seismic shift was from failing to recognise what they had accomplished and pressing on with something different.

tigrus wrote:Yes we read what you write. Did you not write: People DONT WANT CHALLENGES. They wanna win!! ?

You are as much of a pvp hater as its possible to be.
Anti social? Encourages explointing and cheating? Destroying the game?
are not ALL OF THESE your words?

You even went as far as saying that: Show me a game where 70% percent of the community are not idiots and il change that comment!!! Going THAT far and now saying that we dont read what you write? thats the whole point.

You call Rundll out and talk trash in other threads. Reason is because Rundll pvp's and loves it. I know it, YOU know it, Run knows it. WE ALL KNOW IT!
Now please just stop ranting about how pvp is a bad thing.

If you wanna post in a pvp thread. Post: +1. We all know your opinions on it and will understand perfectly.
Il actually take the trouble of every time you post +1 in a pvp thread il type alot of mindless ranting about how pvp is the ultimate evil for you. Just to save you the trouble.

Am i not nice?
Then folk can say "stop posting +1" .....
Just my guess Tigger, but I don't think this is a viable option.

How bout every time you post about how great you are at PvP, how much you enjoy PvP, how many women swoon at your feet and how much you can benchpress you just post +1?

heck, actually, all you should ever post is +1.

Saves _all_ of the typing you do.
