widescreen aspect ratio

Post by tankrd1 »

Problem:
-16:9 seems too streched out vertically.
-when switching to custom aspect ratio 1.5555, it seems to make it loook better, but when logging out and relogging back into the game , that custom aspect ratio resets to a funny 0.10000 and makes the screen look very awkward. Tried it both in D3D and OpenGL

running Nvidia's latest drivers.

This is a recent problem, as I had been using an aspect ratio of 1.25 for quite some time, but as you said, since recently it resets to 0.1; whatever I tried - apparently right now only the 4:3 and 16:9 ratios are accepted. I do hope this is an oversight and will be fixed real soon...

I suggest you try ignoring the custom aspect ratio... well I do anyway
Am using a 24" lcd at 1920x1200 and it looks ok as long as I choose that setting and don't mess with custom ratio

In chatting with an CSR the other day, he mentioned that some Acer Monitor had a non-standard widescreen aspect ratio which was causing problems for which there was no proper solution yet.
