The thing is most people are happy with the current system, your just being loud enough all on your own to make it seem not. You want things changed for yourself, I'm not suggesting anything to 'fix' it because I like it how it is. :p
excuse me for being an ass, but isnt this topic more interested in what we will be doing with cho, rather than what has previously happend on ari?

Well you amuse me just as much, if not more, with your head-in-the-sand 'I'm alright Jack' attitude.

I want things changed to accomodate everyone as much as possible, not one over another.

Terrible of me I know, what a bad man.

That point is irrelevant unless you are saying that many more pacifists are Kamist. If that is your argument, then I believe you are wrong, since large numbers of pacifists are Neutrals and Karavan Trykers. At the very least, you would need to make a serious serverwide worldwide count before making such propaganda claims.
grimjim wrote:Calling it the Kami side is still misleading, it takes the Kami, politically motivated Tryker, mercenaries, 'turncoats' and players who are simply OOC concerned just to match during a defence, still. Void was close, that's the first time there's been anything like that in forever though, and look what it's taken.
Yes, I'm sure it took some effort. Why shouldn't it take effort? Do you think that a smaller force should just conquer outposts from a larger force because you say so?

Yes, the close Void battle was the first time in a long time. Jackoba said it was a 'one-off'. However, it could have been the first such battle in a rising tide of Rekamquista. Only time would have told which interpretation was correct.

It's not, 'I'm alright Jack' Its 'Me and most of the server is alright Jack'

I'm all for keeping as many people with their different playstyles happy at once as I have expressed many times in the past, it just seems to fall on deaf ears.

The problem is as any reasonable person will tell you it isn't posible to keep everyone happy. If you want to help, leave the content that keeps the PvPers happy how it is and go think up some other system for getting cats for PvEers etc...

Perhaps the best chance Cho has of avoiding the poison of old grievances, attitudes and good intentions, would be if anyone with a Cho character was entirely unable to post on the Ryzom forums? ;)

Its not a propaganda claim as its an OOC analysis. It also holds up.

That's your perception. I posit that it is an erroneous perception and that approximately half, probably more than half, aren't particularly happy with the current status quo in regard to a few things.

Contradicted by your actions. You might be for it but you're not for actually doing anything about it or being accomodating it seems.

Sure it is.
And this is, yet again a 'lump it' attitude being displayed. Many suggestions have been put forward on alternate means or revisions and additions to OPs, what we really need is a statement from Nevrax as to whether they even acknowledge there's a problem or things could do with expansion.

I think eveyrone agrees outposts could do with some enhancements.

Where everyone doesn't agree is that it needs some sort of built-in balancing mechanism.

Looking at the outpost situation right now, I see two sides, call those sides whatever you want, that are roughly balanced in terms of both held outposts and number of people. The community did this on its own, we don't need guide rails.

Well either way we can't really prove anything short of making everyone vote one way or the other before allowing them to login. :p

You've expressed my views, I've expressed mine. It'd be great if it could just stop at that but you have to keep going on and on and I have to keep telling you your all wrong.
grimjim wrote: Contradicted by your actions. You might be for it but you're not for actually doing anything about it or being accomodating it seems.
wtf do you want me to do about it? All you and I can do about official content is ask for it and give feedback on anything they come up with.
I don't work for Nevrax, if they don't listen or don't have the reasources theres nothing else I can do.

I'm more of a player than creator anyway, otherwise I guess i'd be on the Ring 24/7. That doesn't mean I'm not interested or don't care about future development of non-pvp content.

And as I said before many people are fine with it how it is or don't want the same revisions and additions as you do so NO you can't keep everyone happy (unless everyone = YOU as you seem to think is the case) so go work on something else for yourself and stop trying to force your gamestyle on everyone else.
