hey guys,
erm.. ive sorta known about Ryzom for a while now... but never realy 'played' it.. let alone bought it. Think i acutayl tried out the beta a looong time ago.. but at the time, my machine just couldnt handle it.
Now my machine is running games like erm.. well cant talk about the beta im currently in *blush* but lets just say its a 'top-of-the-line' machine now.... and im getting bored to death of Dark Age of Camelot.
Im currently downloading the 'free-trial' of Ryzom. Just got a few questions *smiles* if i wind up 'likeing' the game... can i 'buy' it and keep the characters i create with the free-trial?.... and how 'newbie' friendly is Ryzom now-a-days?

b) Yes, you can keep your Char(s), just add a subscription option to your then-former-trial-account to upgrade it.
c) Very friendly to new Refugees. The new starter island, the Ruins of Silan, are built just for that purpose. You get a mission-led tutorial there. And if any questions arise, which will happen normally, a question in region chat usually solves mysteries quickly.

Edit: in this part of the forums many usual questions might be answered already. You might also consider taking a look into the loreon the main site if you're ending up planning to stay longer - it has been changed considerably since Beta

I played a little in Beta but was turned off because my machine struggled aswell, came back about a month after release with same machine and no probs at all so if you have a flying machine now you will be more than fine.
The new starter Isle is very Newbie freindly with lots of tutorial missions designed to help you learn the ropes, have some fun, and boost your arrival on the mainland. Dont expect XP rewards for mainland missions btw.
If you decide to subscribe with the same account you are playing on the free trial the characters stay with you once the account is upgraded.
