My apologies, I guess I was confused by the 99% matis membership. And the numerous alliances with Matis guilds resulting in them helping in OP battles...

*shrugs* I guess we are similar, they just tread a little close to the faction lines than us...

I consider this guild to be one of the few true neutral guilds left on Atys and most honorable.

Because of this they have earned the respect of many and you who call yourself neutral also would do well to not talk this way to them.

If anything you should learn from them, they cannot be bought at least.

Not with dapper perhaps...

Jen-Duk, you and Pero should form a double act. Doubletap could open for you, his charicature of a brainwashed cultist always brings a giggle and it'd be the perfect lead in.

Uhuh, except all their allies are Karavan/"Matis" guilds. I'm sure you consider them a lot of things, if they were helping my alliance I'd probably see them differently too.

And better to be an honest mercenary, at least everyone _knows_ where my loyalties lie... with the next paycheck. Their "neutrality" is a matter of ambition of a different kind...

I shall not lower myself to your level and continue this pointless discussion or retaliate with personal attacks.

I said what I felt needed to be said after you had attacked a guild I like and respect. That is all.

I may return if I hear word of something with some substance has been said connected with the original concerns raised in these talks.

For now Jayce will retire to attend to his guild duties. Good day. :)

And again, very amusing.

Two neutral guilds - one works for coin - that the Kami provide most of the time, and some personal ideology (balance).

The other works with the Karavan and gets benefits for doing so, yet is not derided for its lack of neutrality, nor any of its other lacks, by some of the most vocal of the critics of the first. In fact, their lack of damning is the most telling thing of all!

And then you run away the moment you're backed into an intractable corner.

As I said, very amusing.

Back to Pero though. By all means, open it all up again, given developments that have occurred maybe you'll end up with a better governor with a bit more moral backbone. I doubt the Tryker people would go along with your agenda.

Dear Sxarlet,

You should have read what Pero wrote before stooping to ridiculous personal insults. He has called for the government to honor the Constitution by electing the mandated National Assembly of 22 members.

Article 21: The National Assembly represents the People of New Trykoth.

The election of the National Assembly is now more than two cycles overdue. It is not Pero that is in need of an explanation of constitutional democracy. Are you unfamiliar with the Constitution? Have you lost track of time? Are you opposed to the election of a National Assembly to represent the People?

Sincerely,

Riveit

Valid points Pero and Riveit, but it's not the only thing that's been slowed down. There hasn't been any instatement of the High Council of the Lakelands yet either. Perhaps the Guild of Try hasn't recovered yet of the events after the assasination of our beloved former governor Still Wyler, but that's no reason to not give the free people of New Trykoth an explanation as to the delay of these so very important constitutional institutions.

OOC
Sorry Riveit, it was not meant as ridiculous personal insult. Pero plays a megalomatic who loves his image and has a bigger ego then the rest of Atys combined. As his post doesnt make sense to Sxarlet at all the way, saying things about dictatorship in Tryker(!), I think it is more then logical to Sxarlet to assume these things.

A response from Ailan Mac'kean, the Lady of Loria.

Hey ho free people of Tryker!

It has come to the attention of the office of the governor that some political agitators, unhappy with the result of the election, are trying to claim that the constitutional rights of the citizens of New Trykoth are being undermined or usurped. This is not true! It is unthinkable and Wyler’s legacy is very much being upheld!

The governor elections were, necessarily, completed quickly and with minimal preparation but they were, to the understanding and knowledge of the governor’s office, the council and the intendants completed in an above board fashion with no question arising over legitimacy or fraud. To say otherwise is to accuse these fine, upstanding members of our community of a type of dishonesty that goes against the very core of Tryker beliefs, as much a part of us as our fingers or toes!

An assassination is not a standard circumstance to give rise to an election and wheels have moved more slowly than usual as a result. I am, however, happy to announce that we do have a General Assembly, the same General Assembly as was elected and served under Stil Wyler. When the citizens who met the requirements for election were notified not a single one wished to challenge the incumbent assembly, preferring to keep it intact for the moment, in Wyler’s memory and to continue the work he started. Those who stand for election must have been full citizens for six Jena years, the rites of citizenship have only recently been opened up to those who joined us in more recent times from the camps and islands, none of whom are currently eligible to stand, but will be in a few short years.

Wyler’s legacy is safe, the rights of the Tryker people are safe. Let us look now to the bright future, not the past. New lands and new opportunities open up to us, let us embrace them and move forward as one people.

Signed & sealed,

Ailan Mac'kean, Governor

Rehn Kirran, Deputy Governor
