Front page animation/menu

For the love of Ma-Duk get rid of it. It's not cute, it's cool once if you know the game, it's annoying, and pretty much makes it impossible for new players to easily find information about the game.

I know if I went to a site about a game, was confronted with that, I would leave.

That doesn't work, it redirects me everytime. It's getting slightly on my nerves as well. Maybe a skip into button? Or disable it when you link through it from the forums?

There _is_ a skip button. Right hand side, near the bottom.

I can't see the animation because only Flash 7 is (currently and as far as I know) available for Firefox on Linux... :/

I use links that bypass the animation at all. I'm no big friend of flash at all, I really find flash annoying. It looks really nice, but reduces the usability of the site for me, because it takes 10 seconds to get to the real homepage, and I have click a link, before I am allowed to read the actual news.
Thats why I use this link http://www.ryzom.com/home_page?set_language=en to access the site, since Nevrax put the Flash on the main url. If Zahan hadn't mentioned the skip botton on the Flash I would never have noticed it.

Since the start of the animation, I changed my bookmark to redirect to the forums, and if i want to read the nems, i'll click the ryzom logo.

Skip button was only added recently. Still keep the animation I like it and as far as I m concerned I do think it s cute... Kamis rock !

I can't even VIEW the page at work on a Windows 2000 machine, I just get an error and the page doesn't load, so I have to go direct to the forums. So for me it's a no. It's kind of cool in that it reminds me of the old beta load screen but a real pain at work.

Needs some better error handling if it's gonna stay. Try testing it on things other than XP.
