I would think that Nevrax could make things a little more efficient.
I have found that it is faster for me to log out and relog onto another character than it is to use the back to character selection option.
Why did you make it this way?
Relogging completely is faster even when I get the message that the user is still logged on and have to try a couple times before it accepts the log in.
Does it make any sense to have made a 'shortcut' that is actually longer? (not to me, anyway)
thanks
posting here at the suggestion of someone in general...
btw - takes 60-65 sec to relog and get to character screen, takes 75 seconds to go the route of back to character selection - and I have a fairly new fast machine, fwiw
Why? relogging is faster than back to character selection
Re: Why? relogging is faster than back to character selection
The exit to character select screen has been in demand from day one.
It finally came about due to the Ring and the need for switching shards and game modes.
Originally the main problem with switching chars was the crashing that ensued for most if they did not wait long enough for things to flush. There now seems to be a built in timer that ensures that this will not happen. As a result, it is probably faster for most just to exit and relaunch.
