Have opinions and things changed?

Come in, pull up a chair, let's discuss all things Ryzom-related.

Would Kami extremist RP be welcome in Ryzom now?

Yes! Ryzom has gotten to tame. Lets kill the Karavan!

Kami RP is good, but not extremist.

I don't care, just as long as your RP doesn't get near my gameplay.

No. It's just a disguise for bothering other players.

I apologise for it but as I recall I was started upon. I just shouldn't have bitten back quite so hard.

As it was I think I limited that to the run up to the wedding and didn't continue it into the ceremony. I'm trying to remember if that's the one where I actually left...

Nobody is judging you on the wedding incident, it's just a good reference point you included.
I'm probably classed as extreme RP myself and have been involved in wedding 'incidents' in the past ;)

I'd rather see a well-roleplayed believer in the more subtle Kami ideals than a violent zealot.

Good point. Raging zealots are easy and become charicatures.

And the zorai player even said afterwards that he didn't think what I was doing was an issue. It was the other people in region chat, who really had nothing to do with the event.

That's where the attitude question comes into play.

Also just to make it clear I never hunted harvesters LOL. I did kill one harvester but he provoked me. He was a high level player, a master of pain. So it's not like I killed a weak player or anything.
LOL ok with that clarification on the wedding thing, I see no problem what so ever with this style of RP, I was just questioning if it was greifing or not is all. I say go ahead and do your crazy fanatical thing you do :D

Kamis are violent. There isn't much subtlety in "Stop diging or I will kill you." Raynes' character fits with the kami lore.
They are cute, but kamis aren't about peace and love.

On the poll, more Kami RP would be good. It is pretty lacking in game right now. But your character was a polarizing one, Raynes. I think you ment it to be that way. Things have not changed.

The only object in fifteen billion light years in every direction that can choose rests inside the boney bowl atop your shoulders. Right?"

They have been known to act childlike and playful, and treat some homins with some brand of benevolence.

Besides, Kamis don't really kill foragers anymore. :p

Maybe I'm just wishing there was some respectable aspect of Kamis. ;)

That might have been the original problem.

Had you been there in person, tagged, talking/shouting in around, it would have been clear - and anyone tagged could have come after you, or the more considerate players could have tried to ward you off or something. Just "taunting" over region feels much like griefing, even if that's not what was intended...

Just my few dappers ;)
