I can't play no more :(

Two days ago i finished downloading the free part of the game, and had alot of fun. I might even consider buying the real thing, which i seldomly do.

Yesterday i couldn't play because of maintenance. Bummer but alas.

Today, this morning, i tried to play again. It connected and i could select my character. What a relief. I started loading and it always takes me about 2 minutes because my machine is no more than average. (Ingame with low quality it works like a charm) It loaded and loaded and when all but one of the bottom loading pics were colored/filled it stopped. I waited a while and a while and.....

I went to task manager and i said the program was stuck. So i shut it down and tried again. I have tried it 5 times on different usernames, different game settings, on the editor, but it gets stuck when it's almost there. I've been busy with it for 4 hours, so i thought, let's try the forum.

Kindof a final stop, i really hope someone can help me out here.

Do you have the UDP port range tweaked/open/triggered/forwarded?
With the hardware move the IP address and port changed from what it normally was.

Whoho i do not have any idea what all that means. Im glad someone is trying to help me, thanks for it.

I tried messing with my Firewall and after seeing all of those things youre mentioning i decided:
Or to stop playing Ryzom or to shut the damn thing down.
If it would have been the first option i wouldnt be writing this, it worked !

The weird thing is, when i started playing a couple of days ago the firewall asked me if it was a good rpogram, and i answered that it should be allowed to enter the net at any time. That's why i never even considered the possibility that the firewall was the problem.

Well thank you anyway for the respons, i might bribe my geek neighbour to change the firewall someday

You may have to allow access after every patch, glad you got it working.
