Is there any weapon/armour drops from the mobs ingame like R.O.S.E/Lineage2/WoW?
Or is the only way to get a weapon, to buy from NPC or make it?
Drops from mobs/bosses
Re: Drops from mobs/bosses
There´s ONE suit of Armor dropped by a Bandit Boss on the Mainland. (There were 4 earlier, but three were buggy)
On the Trial Isle you´re given a set of Magic-Ampliviers and a good sword, thats it.
All else is Player made and mostly far better then the Loot stuff.
Additionally most players sell their stuff by themselves, not via NPCs. Dunno why though.
With the Kitin Nest comming up, there will be some new Reward-Items, but I don´t think that they will be better then Player craftet stuff. At least I realy hope so.

Re: Drops from mobs/bosses
The bosses drop supreme mats, these are as you'd expect far, far superior to the basic/fine ones that normal mobs drop and can be used to craft pretty spiffy stuff and are extremely sought after

I think Arcidiel and Rushin covered your question very well! So all that is left to be said is welcome to Atys!

Guess it has to do with having to either restock or lose your stuff every week if your stuff doesn't get bought.acridiel wrote:Most players sell their stuff by themselves, not via NPCs. Dunno why though.
Re: Drops from mobs/bosses
The reason most people sell things by themselves is because if you put some awesome gear up on the merchants, and it doesnt sell within a week... then *poof* its gone.

I add my views as well:amitst wrote:The reason most people sell things by themselves is because if you put some awesome gear up on the merchants, and it doesnt sell within a week... then *poof* its gone.
- You cannot negotiate and trade (face to face) via NPCs
- You cannot know who bought your item
- You cannot accept payment in "services" or catalyzers or grind mats or a mix. Dappers are not always the preferred
- Customer has to pay all the amount at once
- You cannot know in advance customer needs (e.g. purple pant with greenish spots and a mix of stamina and focus bonus)
- You can hardly differentiate your items
etc. etc.
Imho, NPCs could be more useful if a player could "add" a request to be fulfilled within a week, and these requests become regular tasks / missions for crafters, and the buyer can also add a description of his needs and payment.
