Combined thread for all magic related questions, please post them here that way they are all in one place. I haven't seen one, most of them are spread out and often asked twice so I'll start this one to try and condense them.

Hi there, I just made some questions about magic skills/spells and I´ll ask some more here:

- About getting Life Gift: its heal more than Heal Life? Life Gift 4 or Heal Life 4? Whats better?

- About getting Fear 3, I dont know if its good to get now for my lv (51/100 Offensive Afflic) or I can get it later because Fear 2 just make a nice work too.

- Madness: With madness, the enemy can atk themselves or the other animals? For example: used madness@Gingo. Gingo starts to kill the other near gingo? And it take any XP? Or I´ll get the same xp amount?

- I got Bomb. Need I to get Ricochet too? Or its the same as bomb?

For now, I think I´ll go to Blind, Slow or Sap gift 2.

well, the life gift and heal life spells just follow up on one another, they get stronger step by step, but the main difference is that if you buy life gift spells you'll get HP counterparts, and with heal life u'll get sap counterparts.
There is no real difference in the heal stanza's you get except their strength gradually growing over both (like, life gift 1 is stronger than heal life 1, but heal life 2 is stronger than life gift 1, it just grows according to the level at which you can get them).

not sure about that one, never did much Defensive Affliction, but i just got the stronger spell assuming that if it's anything like elemental, effect will be greater for higher level spells.

It will not make the gingo attack another gingo near, it will give the gingo a certain % chance to hit himself rather than you. Not enough to make you be able to kill a mob of your level solo (in general, plus the link can break of course). In PvP it seems very useful to use against a high level elementalist, since they can generally kill themselves in 2-3 spells, of course a high level offensive afflictionist has a higher chance of killing somebody like that.

Bomb, ricochet and spray are just different kinds of Area of Effect spells:

- bomb just does what it sounds like, it drops at one location and then spreads out in all directions, affecting x people within a y radius, the effect decreasing as you move further from the center.
- ricochet makes your spell hit 1 target, then jump to the next if the target is within the radius, and keeps jumping like that for an x amount of times, while the effect decreases on every jump.
- spray is different again because it hits your target, and then sort of "sprays out" into a cone of an x angle with a y degree hitting z targets, again, effect decreases towards the end.

on that last statement, the sap gift is a good choice, blind and slow are mainly for when you are in bigger teams though, with a tank, damage dealer and maybe healer present. Not sure how effective slow is, but blind is a decent spell that makes the mob miss quite often.

Thanks a lot for the answers "rdfall".

Just one more thing about Bomb, Ricochet and Spray: I´ve bomb, don´t need to get Ricochet and Spray for now, because all are AoE spells, with the same function, right?!

Hm, I think I´ll get Sap Gift 2.
