Hi the music is not yet implemented in the game, i understand its gonna be in the 1st big patch which should be in the next week or 2.
The music does sound very good and i think it will enhance the experience even more.
Cheers

Patch 1 is currently on the test server. All notes you read come from the tester and are sneak previews. Ryzom runs great with an MP3 player in the background though.Unregistered wrote:if you read the patch 1 notes it says the music is part of it...and according to this forum patch 1 has already gone online as of 10/16.
?????
Does the majority of players really leave background music on?
Re: Ambient music question
I will not use in game music unless I'm relaxing in the bath house in Pyr or tipping a glass in Yrkanis or Windermeer. Why? Hearing that torbak in the distance is a very important thing because if you can hear it, it's likely close enough to take your leg off.
Re: Ambient music question
I for one would be very happy if music was restricted primarily to civilized areas.
Maybe with some battle music to drown out the fighters. When exploring I love the ambient sounds and effects. As Gralen said I also am often listening for the sounds of Torbaks, Ragus, or Gingos... life and death to hear their little noises before I get ripped a new one.
