Recent patch cause NeL crashes

Post by oldmess »

A fatal error occurs. The program must quit
ProcName: client_ryzom_rd.exe
Date: 2006/09/21 20:15:38
File: R:\code\ryzom\src_v2\client\connection.cpp
Line: 602
FuncName: <Unknown>
Reason: connection : FS refused the connection (Socket error: Hostname resolution failed for rsfe003.juk.shards.nevrax.com (11004: )).
-------------------------------
Any clues? This is my first attempt to login since last night's patch, so my first temptation is to blame the patch. But, I'm sure everyone else is working just fine, right?

I'm not sure if it's just the patch. I was able to play without problem last night.

However tonight, I am getting the same issue you are. Initially it got to the character selection screen fine, but occurred after attempting to load the Ring editor. Now the error occurs prior to the character selection screen.

My crash log has the same header as yours and can be found at:

Hopefully there'll be an easy resolution for this.

Edit: Nevermind, seems to have gone away... odd.

Working now. Seemed to be related to the server crash.
