hehehe, just as we were about 2 kill our router spotted everyone descending upon kilents lol...

maybe this is someones evil scenario at work

Even odder, we were logged in and still doing things for quite some time, then i noticed that I couldn't communicate with anyone at all, then that i could dig and do whatever, but that everyone was logging out lol.

I'm new to the game. Is it normal to fail without warning? Will they try and give a server wide warning before taking it down usually?

you usually get several warning on planned downtime and an eta of when the server will be back up, this doesnt seem to be planned but a server crash

It's very unusual for this to happen. The one thing to keep in mind is that with them trying to get Ring up and going completely and all the servers connected for it, we're going to have some burps and bumps along the way. All in the name of progress.

So we all have just a little more patience than normal during this time.
