Why the desire for clothing?

Come in, pull up a chair, let's discuss all things Ryzom-related.

Anyway, even if I thought that this game was imperfect, what difference does that make? It seems to me that you want to claim that I'm just a whiner, as if that label makes my arguments less persuasive. I'm not going to play that game.
Not to drag this thread up but I'm not labeling you a whiner, an idiot perhaps sorry but you've completely missed the points I've made then gone off on strange oxymoronic tangents, then avoided getting into the issue at all. Infact I don't even get what argument your making as your posts are just plain strange and contadictory, the only real argument made is that you'd like more clothes which I support. However everything else you've said makes no real sense and is just plain strange... And I'M the one saing ryzom is imperfect I was just explaining to you that you can't claim ryzom is not imperfect then say you want more from it, because misuse of language and just common sense irritates me more than you would ever know.

I depair and give up with people like you, all I was trying to say was no one is implying that wanting more clothing is a bad thing, and that saying the game is perfect but wanting more from it is and that whole strange argument from you makes absolutely no sane logic to anyone born with a brain.

Which points about you are further backed up when you try to drag real life science (and bad real life science too) into a discussion about a mmorpg that makes no pretense to being set in the real word and constrained by the tules of out science I'm not going to touch that post with a smaller stick, its stupid.

Refugee clothing is nothing but a leather bikini. It's hardly any use as cold weather clothing. Nor is it particularly useful for those of us who would like hats, cloaks, and other items that go beyond what the game provides.

I would hate to see other avenues of development put on hold, or lose developer focus, for the addition of fluff content. R2, Spires, Guild hall completion, apartment completion, UI streamlining, Encyclopedia completion and updating the games documentation seem like infinitely more important tasks before non-essential content.

I for one wouldn't be the least bit disappointed if Spires was put on indefinate hold as it has the potential of dethroning SOE and putting Nevrax firmly in it's place as the compagny with the worst possible expansion ever made to an MMO...

spires do sound decisivly dodgy I admit. especially as the current implementation of outposts were not quite what people expected (very dumbed down)

Well, I would certainly rather Spires be as good as it's going to get, rather than as bad as it could be. ;)

Think about it... a questionable expansion, or a horrid expansion with a cape.

As for SoE and their expansions... don't even get me started. There is nothing in the gaming world I would like to see more than to see SoE crumble and fall to the wayside, sticky... broken... and confused.

Not too long ago this forum was home to a thread concerning the alleged imballance between Kami and Kara if this is, or will become, a reality Spires will have a huge impact on a lot of the players.

Based on the last update we got on Spires it can potentially rob either all Kara or all Kami of all of the respawns in the game and leave the neutrals laughing their cute lil butts off as they appear to be the ones least affected...

Unless things have changed damatically in regards to Spires it will be the worst possible addition to the game and we can only hope that there will be no imbalance between the factions at the time of release or Spires will make patch 1 look like a picnic.

Edit: Afer re-reading the FvF doc I found that the the respawn in the capital will still be available not that it will matter much if one side manages to gain control over all of Atys....
