I remember the big PvP war.

I was still a member of TnE and they were neutral aligned at the time. We decided at the beginning that we wouldnt take this even personally and fielded people on both sides (as the game picked your alignment from fame which many of us had on both sides). I had a complete blast for a few days with first seeing fasinus kill me a few hundred times then suddently seeing him stood alongside me.

Next was me getting nuked a hell of alot by some homin who's name I cant remember now. I got nuked so often by this same guy he became my arch enemy for the whole event (although he probably didnt know it) its only after the event a few months later did I see this homin up close in PR and realize I was getting owned by a damn tryker, theres something quite wrong in my eyes at getting owned by a 3ft midget ;)

after a few days the novelty wore off for me and I decided on working my PR dig. as all the diggers were off fighting for a cause I had a great time reaping 1000's of supreme mats.

only later when the event ended and the rewards were announced did I regret not taking part more thoroughly. I should have nuked them diggers instead of leaving them alone and I should have at least attemped to fight harder.

was a good time for me I must admit

Had good fun for few days during EP2 but nuking ppl, nuking ppl, getting nukes, spawn, getting nuked became a little bit repetitive.

Loved the "we don't wanna fight" day where everyone camped the center of plains for some time Kami alongside Karavan for big harvesting party...
Didn't last long but was so funny to see nukers very confused before they started open fire lol :)

Tho personnally my best memories are tthe kitin events previous to EP2:
I think first one was in end 04 as I reckon I was still quite new at the time: huge kitins in Natae and spawning everywhere in all 4 lands:
Never saw region chat so active lol :)

Second one with huge 4-5 days invasion was for me the real best event: little bit too long to give mats back at NPC collecting them but all was so cool with ppl running around everywhere, resing, dying, KITIIIIIIIINSSSS Help!!!!! :) )

Those were for me the real good and cooperative events of Ryzom.
Should maybe put those back in game and maybe linked them with event like EP2: Having some NPE content in EP2 would have solved a lot of problems as it would have catered for all players whichever stance or lvl they were..

ah yes, Ep II.... ah, the memories

*Dinging 250 Desert dig during the first phase

*Infinity finally getting organized and taking the Zora temple from under 10% to 100% in one of the branches in 1.5 days (then laughing at the other people that had refused to help us do the Zorai temple fail at the Tryker temple. You didn't scratch our back, so....)

*Logging on to find an uneasy truce going on... and taking all of 3 mins to break it, then basking in the whine fest from the "I'm only here because I want the gear from an event that involves PvP, but I don't want to PvP" folks as they're lying on the ground.

*A full team of Infinity members taking on 20+ karas and lasting long enough to have their honor point timers reset 3 times.

*A Forum screenshot leading to much embarassment to an Infinity member as he was unmasked as a closet kara who enjoyed killing his guildies. (not a forum event or anything, we just kinda noticed some Kara faction chat from a known alt of a Infinity member cheering on the team that was killing some Infinity members in a screenshot that was posted on the forums). Ooh... and various people being removed from the forums for insessant whining!

*Certain Kami players accusing me, Brithlem and a few other Infinity members of camping the crafter NPC, only to have them go very quiet when Bri points out that their guild had twice the craft points than their dig points, while Infinitys was almost 1:1

*Hunting down Seti, Heav, and a few others in the first phase only to have them be my team mates by the third phase

*Watching Infinity go from the guild everyone attempted to distance themselves from (the kara hated us, the kami didn't like us and kept their distance. Honda Accord anyone?) to the power house Kami guild that went on to play a dominant role in OPs. All that "bad" pvp before paid off!

Granted Ep II was not for everyone. Some players left. Given the chance would I throw Ep II away to gain those players back? No. SoR has changed since then. It was the dawn of a new era for Atys, one that lead to OPs and PvP tags, an Atys thats much more PvP oriented. In other words, they'd come back to a game that they wouldn't enjoy. They didn't like the PvP event then, so they wouldn't like the tags, OPs, etc. They had their stay on Atys, they decided they didn't like the direction the game was going, and they took their leave. Power to them and may they be happy where ever they end up.

As for me, I really enjoyed Ep II. It did get a bit repetitive, but I took a break in the middle, (Logged in to the Lakelands map only once) and came back to it to find it as much fun as when it first started. My only beef with the event was the fact that many of the low level or CPers got the shaft when it came to honor points. Many of the high level diggers ended up with millions of honor points, yet the CPers who helped get those mats got nothing. there should have been a way to share those points or have a way to 'tip' them over. But a minor issue. All in all, I enjoyed the event and would love to see something similar come to Atys again.

i wa on mainland and in AP only a couple of days when the Episode started. Think it was my second day in AP when i attended the start event on Zora stage where the guild leaders held their speeches :) . (Still have screenies from then, man, that was a lot of homins =)

After that i was pretty lonely on the main land (if you think mainland was empty before Silan came.... this was worse!), all the guildies digging, crafting and fighting like mad for honor! so i soloed my melee and dig/craft up to 50ish... only occasionally did i join in as a cper for Vore or Dardis. When i finally could craft 50ish, the event was over :p
I even managed to fall into a small bug, ported up to Almati from Zora, the only place i had been, and aked he wrong Kami to port me back - bingo, there i was, a very unhappy Zorai in Pyr with no tp ticket in the pocket and no trek in sight... everyone was busy digging lol
a friendly GM ported me back to Zora hehehe

When i was stranded in Pyr it was too late to die, and the Kamis in Almati would only send me back to where i came from... dieing in Almati didnt help either :)

I have been around ever since the old Beta Day's.

The only thing I liked about Episode 2 was th digging for Honor Point's, I did some PvP, but that was to protect some higher lvl digger's and after i was getting killed from digging.
