Which server/race?

Hi everyone, new player here.

I'm in the process of downloading the client (which is painfully slow btw ) and I was browsing the forums and noticed that the game seems to have quite a few European players.

Well, this is great, but I am in North America, east coast (GMT -5) and was wondering if, like many other MMOs out there, there were certain servers and races that officially or unofficially are for different regions. I have come across this problem before, and I always seem to get on the UK server and have no one to play with at MY prime time.

I want to be able to actually play WITH people in the game world, and this is best done if playing with people in or around my time zone. So, again, are there certain time zone heavy servers/races?

Hey there! I am also East Coast USA... Arispotle is the server you want... English speaking, plenty of people on during a traditional EST/EDT gaming session.

As for race, that's entirely your choice. I chose Matis, personally.

Races are not tied to RL regions in anyway. Pick your favorite based on lore and appearance.

No, servers are divided by language. Arispotle is the English language server. You will find things a little quieter in the later evening NA times, but this situation is nowhere near as bad as it used to be as there seems to be an increase in North American players. There is also no difference between races as everyone moves around pretty freely once they have made the initial treks to the other lands. The key is to find a guild with active players in your time periods.
